TrainWithCare will ensure that competence and knowledge is developed through direct work with the person or child and their family. In the case of new-born infants, children and adults with complex needs under the care of an acute trust TrainWithCare will work in partnership with the acute trust to ensure the necessary training and competence required is achieved through shadowing and other agreed means to support and encourage discharge at home.
Competences will be signed off and re-assessed at 6 months and annually thereafter or in response to changing needs as assessed by community nursing team.
Clinical Supervision can be offered for care staff (individual/group/telephone) regularly allowing the clinical staff (carers and nurses) to reflect on their clinical practice, how to improve & learn from it and it can support them with work problems or challenges. This supervision can be offered at regular intervals on an individual basis or can be offered to organisations for all their staff.
